Has anyone else been following Nicole Michelle Smith’s case from back in 2007? It’s been haunting me ever since I stumbled upon it. I ran across an interview with her grandmother, Ora Mayes, and the pain and strength in her words was palpable. I can't imagine what the family has endured over these years. Ora’s determination for justice is truly admirable. I came across a discussion mentioning how sometimes communities close ranks after a tragedy, unintentionally silencing vital information that could solve the case. Does anyone have any thoughts or insights on how communities can better encourage people to come forward in such situations? It feels like there's so much more to be done to support families like Nicole’s in seeking justice.

Hey everyone, I've been following Nicole Michelle Smith's case since it first broke, and something that's really been on my mind is the role the community could play in getting justice here. Nicole's grandmother, Ora Mayes, has been such a strong advocate in keeping Nicole's memory alive, but she shouldn't have to fight this battle alone. It's been so many years now, and yet there could still be someone out there with the piece of information that could bring closure to Nicole's family and identify those responsible.
I can't help but think that even the smallest detail might have been overlooked or forgotten by someone who witnessed something back in 2007. If you lived around the Carondelet neighborhood back then or know anyone who did, please consider reaching out to share any memories, no matter how insignificant they might seem. It could really make all the difference. Let's hope we can help bring some peace to Nicole's loved ones by encouraging openness and support within the community.

I've been following Nicole Michelle Smith's case since it first hit the news back in 2007, and it still baffles me that it remains unsolved. One thing that's been on my mind is the location where she was found. The Carondelet neighborhood isn't exactly known for this level of violence, so it feels out of place. Could it be that she was taken there from somewhere else, or is it possible that someone in the area knows more than they’re letting on? It’s chilling to think that the answers might be closer than we realize, hidden in plain sight. My heart goes out to her family, especially her grandmother, Ora Mayes. I can't imagine the pain of not having closure for over a decade. I really hope that someone remembers something small that could turn into a big lead. If anyone reading this was in that area back then or remembers anything odd around that time, even if it seems trivial, I urge you to reach out to the police. Every bit helps in cases like these.
