I’ve been following the discussions about the tragic case of Judith Ott, and one thing that just stands out to me is how frustrating it must have been for David Ott and their child. Can you imagine going to a park, a place that’s supposed to be safe and carefree, and leaving with your life unimaginably altered? I can't fathom the strength it took for David to chase down Harrison. The courage he must have needed in that moment is just beyond words. And all the while their child was nearby, likely sensing something awful had happened. How do you even begin to explain something like that to a child? The ripples of pain from that day must have spread so far, not only for Judith's family but for everyone around them. My thoughts are with all who were affected, and I sincerely hope they've found some peace over the years.
