I've been digging into the Lee Wilson case, and something that's been haunting me is how the justice system handled Lester Harrison. It's just chilling to realize how long it took for the trial to even begin. I mean, the delay until 1978 because of various motions and psychiatric exams must have been torture for Lee’s family and friends. Can you imagine waiting all those years, hoping for some sense of justice? And then, with that insanity acquittal, it's tough to wrap your head around the idea that someone capable of such brutal actions wasn't held fully accountable in a way that's commonly understood. I just keep thinking about how this delay must have impacted Lee's loved ones, leaving them in a prolonged state of uncertainty and grief. It's an unsettling aspect of an already harrowing story.

I've been thinking a lot about the delay in Lester Harrison's trial. It's so frustrating to see how long justice can take, and in this case, it was five long years. I can't imagine the agony Lee Wilson's family must have endured during that period, knowing the person who caused so much harm was not yet held accountable. Legal wrangling, psychiatric evaluations, and defense motions dragged the process on, and it's just so unsettling to think how systems sometimes don't move swiftly enough for victims' families. It makes me wonder about improvements that could be made in our justice system to prevent these kinds of delays. My heart truly goes out to Lee's loved ones and everyone else affected by Harrison's actions. They deserved closure far earlier than they got it.
