Does anyone else find it intriguing that Edgard Jamias' case was originally handled by Reno authorities but has since been taken over by Stockton, CA police? It makes me wonder what connections he could have had in Stockton, and whether those ties could offer any clues about his disappearance. I've read about similar cases where jurisdiction changes have hinted at possible leads or connections that weren't initially obvious. It's been almost two decades, and I can't help but feel there's more to unravel here. If anyone from the Stockton area or with knowledge of the region's hotel industry back in 2004 has anything to share, it might just help this cold case. Thoughts?

I've been following Edgard Cruz Jamias' case for a while and something that's stuck out to me is the change in jurisdiction from Reno to Stockton. It's intriguing to think about what might have prompted this shift. Was there some lead or piece of evidence that suggested Edgard had ties in Stockton? It's been over 19 years now, but information like this sometimes doesn’t surface right away, especially if it involves connections across state lines. With the hotel industry work, it's possible he might have had transient connections through work or perhaps personal ones. I wonder if anyone in the industry or community back then remembers him or noticed anything unusual. It just seems like the kind of detail that could be crucial, but maybe hasn't been fully explored. What are your thoughts on jurisdiction shifts and their impact on how a case is handled?
