I'm really curious about what drove Fred Hardy to commit such an awful crime. It seems like there isn't much information available about his motive, and it makes you wonder what kind of situation could lead to such a horrific act. I feel for the families of Con Sullivan, Florence Sullivan, and P.J. Rooney, who must have been left with so many unanswered questions. It must have been incredibly difficult for the authorities to piece things together, given the remote location and limited resources back then. If anyone has come across more details on Fred Hardy's background or any potential motive, I'd love to hear about it. Sometimes understanding the why can help provide some closure, even if it doesn't ease the pain.
