Has anyone else looked into the idea that Merlinda might have intentionally distanced herself from her past in Columbus? I recently came across a case where someone with a similar mental health situation did just that. Considering she was using different names like "Melinda" or "Linda," and sometimes went by "Griego," it really makes me wonder if she was trying to start anew and maybe avoid parts of her past. It’s sad that there haven’t been any new leads with the DNA and fingerprint records they have on file. Just thinking out loud here, but has there been any talk or reports of sightings that match her description in communities where she might slip through unnoticed? Sometimes people in her situation find acceptance and help in smaller, tight-knit communities. Was there ever a focus on places she might have felt safe or supported, either in Albuquerque or Ohio around the time she vanished? Curious to know if anyone else has thoughts on this angle.
