It's so saddening to think about the struggles Angela Jones must have faced before her tragic end. As a mother of seven, she undoubtedly had many responsibilities and challenges. I can't stop thinking about the ripple effects her absence would cause in the lives of her kids and loved ones. What strikes me about cases like this is how society often overlooks the dangers that marginalized women like Angela face every day. With Geoffrey Griffin’s arrest, I'm relieved a dangerous individual is off the streets, but it continues to bother me that these women are often forced into vulnerable situations without the necessary support structures in place to help them. It's a tragic reminder of how we need better systems to protect those involved in high-risk lifestyles, who are too often dismissed or ignored. Hoping Angela’s family found some peace with his conviction, though the pain of loss never truly goes away. It breaks my heart knowing such injustices are still part of our world today.
