I stumbled upon some old articles about the murders Waldo Grant committed, and it really made me think about George Muniz's tragic end. He was only 23, with his whole life ahead of him. It's chilling to realize how close Grant lived to where George's body was found; that neighborhood probably felt so safe to its residents. I can't imagine the fear and uncertainty people in the LGBTQ+ community must have felt back then. George's murder was not just an isolated incident but part of a terrifying pattern. It's devastating to think about how these young men’s lives were cut short. I wonder how many of their friends and family members are still grappling with the loss and unanswered questions even today. It's crucial to remember and honor the victims, ensuring their stories are not just footnotes in history but reminders of the work we still need to do to protect and uplift marginalized communities. Sending love and light to everyone affected by this case.
