Has anyone else been thinking about the missed opportunities to help Helga before it was too late? It really saddens me to imagine her being so isolated after moving from Austria. It seems like there were so few people in her life who she could truly lean on, and as someone who's moved to a new country, I know how tough it can be to start over without a support network. I can't help but wonder if things might have been different if she'd had someone looking out for her. Maybe someone could have noticed she was in trouble or reached out to her when she was struggling. This case makes you think about how important it is to foster community connections, especially for those who are far from home and feeling alone. It's devastating that Helga, like many others, fell victim to someone as monstrous as Gilyard, and it reminds me how crucial it is to stay vigilant and support those around us. My heart goes out to Helga's family and anyone else who knew her.
