I've been down the rabbit hole with the Gibbs case and what really gets to me is the exhumation of those poor family members. I can't imagine the pain the family friends and relatives must have felt when they found out their loved ones had been taken from them in such a cruel manner. Knowing that everyone thought these were all natural deaths at first must have been such a brutal twist when the truth came out. I keep thinking about the detectives who worked the case. It must have been so challenging to connect the dots initially, especially since the causes of death seemed natural. It's a testament to their diligence that they revisited the case after Roger's autopsy. Also, considering the time period, it's impressive how they pieced together the pattern of arsenic poisoning. We often think about the victims and the perpetrator, but the investigators and forensic experts played such a crucial role in uncovering the truth here. It must have been a career-defining, albeit somber, case for them.
