I've been reading through the case details and can't stop thinking about Sam Stapleton's final moments. Being only 14, he had his whole life ahead of him, and it's devastating to think how it was stolen from him. I learned that Sam was last seen in the company of Randall Reffett, another young victim. It strikes me how they were buried together, almost like they were connected in spirit even in such tragic circumstances. It's a chilling reminder of how Gacy preyed on these young boys, exploiting their innocence and trust. My heart goes out to Sam's family, who must have held onto hope for their son's safe return until the terrible truth was revealed. It's a cruel world sometimes, but remembering Sam and Randall helps keep their stories alive and honors their memory.
