I’ve been following the tragic case of Edgar Anthony Underkofler and something that really stands out to me is the tireless work of the forensic experts involved. Back in the early '80s, forensic science wasn't what it is today, so using dental records to identify Edgar's remains was crucial. I can't imagine the pain Edgar’s family must have gone through during the time they waited for identification. It’s a grim reminder of how important it is for law enforcement to have these tools and dedicated professionals in place, even back then, to help solve such heartbreaking cases. My thoughts are with all the families affected by Eyler’s horrific crimes. They are the unsung heroes, bringing some justice and closure, however small, to loved ones left behind.
