I’ve been following the case of Debra Sue Corr and came across something that really struck me. I read that Glen Spies, the young Aurora Explorer Scout who tried to help Debra, was just a teenager at the time. It’s so astonishing to think about the bravery he showed in that moment, without hesitation, trying to protect an officer in distress. This case has so many layers of tragedy, but moments like this remind us of the incredible courage that can emerge from the darkest situations. Just thinking of how this young man must have felt afterward is so moving, and it makes me wonder how his life was affected by this horrific event. I hope Glen found peace and knows that his actions were truly heroic. My thoughts are with all who were touched by this profound loss.
