Has anyone else looked into the discrepancies in the evidence linking Albert DeSalvo to Mary Brown's murder? While his name frequently comes up in these discussions, I've been reading that there's substantial doubt about whether he was actually responsible for her case specifically. The beating Mary endured doesn't align with the other strangulation patterns associated with the Boston Strangler. Some experts even suggest the possibility of multiple offenders being involved in this series of crimes. This inconsistency must be so difficult for her family, living with unanswered questions for so many years. It makes me wonder about the forensic limitations back in the 60s and if a different approach might have brought some closure by now. Thoughts or insights from others?

I've been following Mary Brown's case for a while, and something that's always puzzled me is the deviation in the method used in her murder compared to the other Boston Strangler victims. Most were strangled, but Mary was beaten, which seems so personal and brutal. I can’t help but wonder if this points to a different perpetrator or if it’s possible the same person who committed the other murders was trying to throw off the investigation. It’s so unsettling to think about how her family must feel, knowing that there might be more to the story than what's on the surface. I truly hope that justice can eventually be served for all the victims involved. Anyone else have thoughts on why Mary’s case was so different?
