I've been reading a lot about Elizabeth Clenor's case, and one aspect that's just stuck with me is how the parole system failed her and the other women. The fact that Jerome Dennis could continue his rampage after being released early just blows my mind. I can’t even begin to imagine the frustration and anger Elizabeth's family must have felt knowing this could have been prevented. It's a glaring reminder that we need to reevaluate how parole decisions are made, especially when it comes to violent offenders. The system let these women down by giving a known threat like Dennis the chance to harm again. My heart goes out to all the families affected by his actions. They deserved better.
