I've been following the case of Robyn Carter and others tied to Jerome Dennis, and I can't help but reflect on how parole systems sometimes fail to protect the public. How unsettling is it that Dennis was released after serving just a fraction of his sentence, only to commit further heinous acts? Robyn's tragic death, along with the other victims, raises important questions about parole evaluation and the systems supposed to keep us safe. Every time a story like Robyn's comes to light, it highlights a system in need of reform. My thoughts are with her family and the families of all his victims, who were robbed of their loved ones and are left to deal with a grief no one should bear. How do we ensure justice for people like Robyn in the future?
