I’ve been thinking a lot about the two girls that survived the attack on the Culbert family. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma they've endured from witnessing such unimaginable violence. It's a miracle they survived, but I often wonder how they're doing now and if they've managed to find some peace years later. It's so important that their well-being is considered as part of this tragic case. The community support they receive can make such a difference in their recovery. If anyone has updates or knows how they’re doing, it would be great to hear. My thoughts are with them and everyone affected by this tragedy.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading through some old articles and discussions about the 1985 Shreveport murders, particularly focusing on a really tragic aspect—the survival of the two young girls who hid during the attack. It's hard to even comprehend what they went through, and I hope they've found some peace and healing, despite the trauma they endured.
These two girls were literal children, aged just 7 and 10, and they witnessed unspeakable violence. Their survival, while fortunate, meant they had the burden of these horrific memories thrust upon them at such a young age. Not being able to give authorities much information must have weighed heavily on them, but they were so brave to have just made it through that night.
I can't help but feel a deep sense of empathy for them. I wonder how their lives unfolded after such a life-altering event and whether they've had the support they needed over the years. If anyone has any insights or updates on how these survivors have been supported, it would be comforting to hear about it. It's important to remember that behind every crime story are real people, like these young girls, whose lives are forever changed.

My thoughts are with them and the other family members who continue to cope with the loss and trauma of that dreadful night.
Does anyone else find it concerning that there were no signs of forced entry at the Culbert crime scene? It really makes you wonder about the level of trust or familiarity the victims might have had with Nathaniel Code. It’s such a chilling thought that someone could betray that trust in such a horrific way. My heart truly goes out to the surviving family members who have had to grapple with the idea that the person responsible was someone potentially let in willingly. The emotional toll on them must have been immense, not only due to the crime itself but also the question of why and how it happened in a place they'd normally feel safe.
