Hey everyone,
I wanted to discuss a lesser-known but critical component of the Sable Pickett case: the role of technology in solving these crimes. It's absolutely chilling to think how GPS tracking, which we often take for granted, became a key player in piecing together what happened to Sable. The tracking devices that were on Gordon and Cano offered investigators a digital breadcrumb trail, something that honestly, blows my mind.
While we grapple with the devastating loss of Sable, we could at least see some justice served through these technological advancements. It's both unsettling and reassuring to see how technology intersected with detective work in this case. Still, I'm left with so many questions about how this could have been prevented in the first place. Thinking of Sable's family, who never got a chance to say goodbye, breaks me. They deserved more from the system meant to prevent things like this. What do you all think about the use of GPS in such investigations?
I’ve been following the case of Sable Pickett, and I can't stop thinking about the role technology played in solving it. It's chilling that the GPS tracking data from Gordon and Cano turned out to be pivotal in piecing together what happened to her. I wonder how many other cases could benefit from such technology if used more effectively. It makes me incredibly sad to think that such a young life was cut short and that her family never had the closure of bringing her home. Does anyone here know if there have been moves to improve monitoring systems for high-risk offenders since this case came to light? It seems like a tragic oversight that could be better addressed with the right technology and policies. My heart goes out to Sable’s family and everyone affected by this horrendous crime.
