I’ve been reading up on Barbara Hendrickson's involvement in the Campbell case, and it really got me thinking about how brave she was to testify against him. It's so tragic to think that her courage in doing the right thing may have cost her life. It must have been such a complex and terrifying decision for her, knowing that stepping up to testify carried risks. My heart goes out to her family and friends, as they had to deal with this unimaginable loss for all these years. It’s infuriating to think the system allowed a predator like Campbell opportunities to harm again. Reflecting on this, I hope it sparks more conversations about protecting those who have the strength to stand up against criminals. Hug those you care about extra tight today; Barbara's story is a reminder of the stakes involved in these acts of bravery.
