It's deeply unsettling to learn about how Josephine Selvage's back door being slightly ajar led to such a devastating outcome. It's every homeowner's nightmare that something as simple as a door left open could invite danger. Makes you really think about the importance of neighborhood vigilance and community support, especially for our elderly population. It's tragic that Josephine, who lived such a full life contributing to education and dealing with the challenges of Alzheimer's, fell victim in the sanctity of her home. My thoughts are with her family and friends who have to carry this pain, knowing the world can sometimes be so cruel. It's a harsh reminder of the vulnerabilities many face, and my heart goes out to all who miss her dearly.
I can't stop thinking about how Clifton Bloomfield slipped through the cracks for so long. It's terrifying to imagine the fear and trauma he caused, especially to someone as vulnerable as Josephine Selvage. She dedicated her life to teaching young minds, only to have her life tragically cut short in such a horrendous manner. The fact that he had a record dating back to his childhood just makes me wonder what could have been done differently to prevent him from harming others.
I can’t help but question how the police initially missed the connection between Josephine's murder and Bloomfield's other crimes. It feels like a massive oversight in the early investigation stages. One wonders if the tragic loss of Josephine and others could have been avoided if all the dots had been connected sooner. My thoughts are with Josephine’s family and friends who have had to live with this painful loss.
