I can't stop thinking about how devastating it must be for Geraldine Sabatasso's family to cope with the knowledge that her trust in a medical professional led to such tragic consequences. I was particularly struck by how casually Dr. Blatti seemed to operate, meeting his so-called "patients" in parking lots to hand over prescriptions as though they're takeout orders. This is beyond a breach of trust; it's a complete disregard for the value of human life. I really hope this case brings about significant changes in how prescription practices are monitored. It's frightening to think that there may be more "doctors" out there like Blatti who prioritize profit over patient care. It's crucial for the medical community and legislative bodies to strengthen oversight and protect patients. No family should have to endure the pain and loss that Geraldine’s loved ones are facing. My thoughts are with them during this difficult time, and I hope justice for Geraldine helps in some small way to bring about healing and awareness.

I've been following Geraldine Sabatasso's case, and one thing that really struck me was the sheer number of pills Dr. Blatti prescribed her—4,000 pills in just six months! It's awful to think about how someone who was supposed to heal could cause such harm. Geraldine initially saw him for neck pain after surgery, and like so many others, she probably put her trust in his hands, believing he was helping her manage her pain. It's devastating how that trust was betrayed. I can only imagine the pain her family and friends must feel, knowing more could have been done to prevent this. It's essential for us to continue pushing for stricter regulations on prescription practices so we can hopefully prevent more tragic stories like Geraldine's. My thoughts are with those mourning her loss.
