I was reading up on the Whitaker case, and what really stood out to me was the abandoned car found in Lexington. It's so eerie to think about the journey Daisy's car took after that night. It must have been unsettling for her family to see that, knowing she wasn't the one driving it anymore. I can't imagine the pain they went through finding out their loved one was involved in such a grim story. It's frightening how Bixler could just discard evidence of a life like that, as if it didn't matter at all. I hope cases like this prompt more awareness about the risks associated with habitual offenders. Knowing the law was able to connect the dots and bring him to justice, albeit after such a great loss, does provide some comfort, but I feel for everyone impacted by his violent actions.
