Just thinking about the impact this has on the community—it's unsettling to know this happened right on Long Beach Boulevard. I drive by that area all the time, and it makes me wonder how safe any of us really are. Alberto Cruz was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it's tragic how quickly life can be taken away. Grateful the other man survived, but my thoughts are with Cruz's family. Hope they can find peace and justice soon. Knowing the sedan was abandoned might be a lead, but it must be so frustrating not having more answers. Let's hope someone steps up with information soon. I’ve been following this tragic case about the shooting near Long Beach Boulevard and it’s just unbelievable how random and senseless it all seems. I wanted to draw attention to the fact that the police say the victims didn’t even know each other. Doesn’t that just make it even more chilling? It’s hard to comprehend how lives can be changed forever in an instant due to such random acts of violence.
I’m really hoping witnesses come forward soon, especially anyone who might have seen that gray sedan before or after the shooting. Every little detail could be crucial. For the sake of Alberto Cruz’s family—and the other young man who thankfully survived—I hope there's justice on the horizon.
