Has anyone else been struck by the courage it took for the investigators to see through Bankston's lies about the imaginary accomplice, "Chris"? The way they methodically pieced together the evidence to reveal the painful truth is astonishing. It must have been incredibly tough for Sally's family to go through the trial, holding onto the hope that there might have been another person involved, only to learn that Bankston acted alone. My heart goes out to them as they process all of this and try to find some sense of closure amid such overwhelming sorrow. The diligence of the investigators provided justice, but it definitely doesn’t heal the wounds left behind for those who loved Sally, Ann, and Helen.
