I've been thinking a lot about Krystal Tobias's family in light of the case details. It's gut-wrenching to imagine how they must have felt through it all—first losing their precious daughter in such a horrific manner and then enduring years of legal turmoil. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to have someone you know turn out to be responsible, especially considering Avila-Torrez was a familiar face in their community and even had connections to Krystal.
