Has anyone else been digging into the life of Eugene Bowers? I find it so perplexing that a young barber ended up being at the center of such a notorious case. By all accounts, it seems he was just a regular guy in the community before this tragedy unfolded. Was there ever any indication that something was off about him, or did this really come out of nowhere? It's just hard to wrap my head around how someone with what seems like a quiet, everyday life could be propelled into this situation. My heart goes out to Constable Tomlinson’s family and loved ones. The whole community must have been completely shaken by this unimaginable turn of events. It would be interesting if anyone has more insight or historical records that might shed light on Bowers’ character or history leading up to that fateful day.
