I've been reading a lot about Colette Anise Wilson's case, and it's just so upsetting to think about how young she was—only 13. What hits me the most is how this happened in broad daylight. She was supposed to be on her way back from band camp, a safe and innocent outing, and then everything just went wrong. It really makes you think about how these moments we take for granted can just shift in an instant. My heart goes out to her family and friends, who have been waiting for answers for decades. It's hard to grasp how they must have felt every single day, waiting for news that never came, or when it finally did, it was the worst imaginable. I also wonder about the other victims linked to this case. It feels like the system failed in getting justice for them. The connections between these murders and the immense toll it must have taken on the community... It's such an overwhelming tragedy that keeps you thinking about it long after hearing their stories. How can someone just walk around with that much evil in them? It's a somber reminder that we need more effective ways to protect our communities and ensure that justice gets served.

I recently stumbled across Colette Anise Wilson's case and was really struck by how close her body was found to that of Gloria Gonzales. Does anyone find it suspicious that both young women ended up so close to one another—just 35 yards apart? It really makes me wonder if the spot near Addicks Reservoir was being used as a dumping ground by the killer(s). I was looking into Edward Harold Bell and, while he's mentioned in connection with Colette's case, it's frustrating that there's so little concrete evidence to pin this tragedy on him. It's beyond sad that Colette's family, like so many others during that time, never got the justice they deserved. I'm hoping that advancements in forensic technology might one day provide some clarity and bring peace to her loved ones. If anyone from the Alvin community or those familiar with the case have more insights or personal stories, I'd love to hear them. This case feels like a puzzle with too many missing pieces, and any additional info might help us better understand what really happened during those turbulent years.
