Has anyone else heard about these rumors regarding John's dog? I came across a discussion suggesting that his dog was found wandering a few days after John went missing, which seems odd since John's mental capacity could mean he would be much more protective of his pet. Why didn't the dog stick around the house or closer to where John went missing? Could there be something more here that investigators might have overlooked? The connection between missing people and their pets can sometimes offer clues, so I'm wondering if this angle was thoroughly checked out. Anyone have any thoughts or further info on this dog sighting?
Does anyone have any thoughts on why John's case seems to have stalled? I've been following his story and can't understand why there's been little progress. I've read about other cases where law enforcement moved quickly on tips and rumors, but with John, it feels like everything got quiet too soon. I mean, wouldn't the rumors about a possible violent end lead to more urgency from the police? I'm also wondering how much push there was from the community in Oakridge to keep this case active. If anyone has insights or other cases to compare, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I came across the case of John Wesley Hicks III and noticed something peculiar that's been bothering me. Why wasn't there a larger search effort involving the community when he first disappeared? Considering his mental capacity, you’d think more urgency would have been placed on helping him, especially as soon as he went missing. It seems like there wasn't a coordinated effort or any large-scale searches organized. Was it because of Oakridge’s small size, or was there some hesitation from law enforcement to treat this as a potential foul play case right from the start? It’s frustrating knowing that time is so critical in these situations, and it doesn’t seem like it was used effectively here. Has anyone local to the area noticed any change in approach with other missing persons cases since then?
