It's incredibly sad to think that his life was taken during what appeared to be an attempt to assist at a scene. It's a stark reminder of just how unpredictable and fragile life can be. Although he served only seven months, I'm sure his dedication and spirit left a lasting impression on those he worked with and the people he served. My heart goes out to Trooper Phebus's parents who must face the immense pain of losing their son, who had so much life ahead of him. It's devastating that they won’t see where his promising career and caring nature would have led him. Keeping them in my thoughts during this unimaginably difficult time.
