It's been over a decade since Shabaka Ahdee Lazimba was tragically taken from this world, and yet it feels like very little progress has been made in finding justice for him and his family. I recently visited his memorial page and was touched by the numerous heartfelt messages from friends and family who are still grieving his loss. It got me thinking about the countless cold cases in San Diego and how important community involvement is in solving them. The caseload for local authorities is overwhelming, and it’s essential for the community to rally together to keep these cases alive. I wonder if there are any community-led initiatives or groups in San Diego focused on bridging the gap between law enforcement and the public to address these unsolved crimes. Maybe there's a way for us to contribute, even if it's sharing stories or information that could keep the memory of victims like Shabaka in the public eye. Sending my thoughts to Shabaka's loved ones. If anyone knows of ways to support the efforts to find justice for him and others, sharing those would be greatly appreciated.
