Hey everyone, I’ve been following the discussions surrounding Gloria Jean McIver’s case and wanted to talk about something that doesn’t seem to have gotten much attention: the quick response from the Pecos police after the 911 call. It's pretty astonishing that the officers were on-site within a minute. I can’t imagine how horrifying it must have been for them to walk into that situation. It’s clear they handled the scene with urgency and professionalism. Getting the Texas Department of Public Safety crime lab involved also shows how committed they were to understanding what happened that night. Even though the outcome remains a deep tragedy, it’s a reminder of how dedicated first responders and investigators can be in trying stressful circumstances. I often wonder how this tragic case affected those officers and how important it is to support law enforcement both during and after such traumatising events. My heart goes out to everyone involved, including the officers who had to witness the aftermath of such a tragic loss. Thinking of Gloria and her family and hoping they’ve found some peace. —JustMovedToPecos1993
