I can’t stop thinking about how young Kelly Lee Hazlip was when he lost his life. Just 28 years old, with so much life ahead of him. It’s so tragic to think about all the experiences he was robbed of, not just big milestones, but the everyday moments too. The whole scenario just feels senseless and devastating. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his family and friends must go through, even now, all these years later. If anything positive could come from such a nightmare, I hope it’s that people start having more conversations about anger management and red flags in relationships. We owe it to Kelly and everyone else affected by such violence to learn and do better.
