I'm always struck by how cases like Mary Ann "Cream" Gibson Foy’s make you rethink what you think you know about people. She was so respected in her community and at work, being a sergeant and all. It's hard to believe that someone she was close to, like Eddie Joe Houston, could end her life so brutally. I wonder what signs, if any, were there that things could escalate to this tragic point? We often ignore red flags or just don’t see them. It's just a reminder of how unpredictable and hidden domestic violence can be. Does anyone know if there were previous reports or concerns about their relationship from those who knew them? Maybe we can learn something that could help others in similar situations avoid such tragedy. Just so heartbreaking to think how Mary Ann’s family and friends are coping with such a sudden and senseless loss. My thoughts are with them.
