Keith Jason Martin, 35, was shot and killed at his home in Hondo, Texas, on January 2, 2014. Born May 13, 1978, in Stuttgart, Germany, he was the son of Bruce G. and Patricia Martin and is survived by his wife, Tracy Lynn Martin, and four children: Derek, Keith KJ, Skye, and Dylan.

Investigators say the shooting arose from a relationship dispute. Adam Garibay, a 33-year-old U.S. Border Patrol agent from Corpus Christi, was arrested and charged in connection with the killing. Authorities allege Garibay assaulted and restrained his wife, Denise Garibay, then drove to Hondo and shot Martin; Garibay reportedly led police on a high-speed chase before being captured in Sabinal. Charges mentioned include felony evading arrest and assault-obstructing an airway, and a murder charge was indicated.
