Has anyone else spent a lot of time thinking about the mothers like PFC Carla Santisteban in such harrowing events? It’s difficult to comprehend the strength it takes to return from deployment and face something as unimaginable as losing her entire family. The military lifestyle comes with so many unique challenges, and I can only imagine that's amplified a thousand times by this kind of loss. The resources or support systems available within the military framework for such traumatic experiences are not often talked about. Does anyone here have insights into how service members and their families are supported, especially after something as devastating as this? I hope Carla has the support she needs. Her journey forward won’t be easy, and anything that can be done to help her and others in similar situations is crucial.
