Hey everyone,
I've been reading through the posts about Trey McIntire Rodriquez III, and something that really sticks with me is his work as a flight medic for AeroCare. It seems like Trey was the kind of person who was truly dedicated to helping others, not just in his daily work as a firefighter paramedic but also in the skies. It takes a special kind of bravery and selflessness to serve others in such demanding roles.
I can't help but think about the strength and support Trey's family is getting from his colleagues and the community. It's heartwarming to see how they're all rallying together to remember and honor the incredible person he was. He clearly made a lasting impact—not just as a professional but as a father and friend. Those who knew him say his warmth and kindness were second to none.
For his family, especially his wife Dominga and their kids, it must be such a challenging and painful time. Sending them all my thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss. I hope they find comfort in knowing how deeply Trey touched the lives around him and that his legacy of care and courage continues to shine bright.
If anyone here is from the area or is part of the extended AeroCare or fire department family, what do you remember most about Trey? I’d love to hear more stories to keep his spirit alive.

I was reading about Trey’s case and couldn't stop thinking about the huge loss his family and the Midland community have experienced. It must be incredibly difficult for his children to understand why their dad, who dedicated his life to saving others, was taken from them in such a violent way. Trey seemed like such a devoted father, taking his kids on camping trips and teaching them to fish. It breaks my heart knowing that those cherished family moments have been forever changed.
The bravery Trey showed in his work, both at the fire department and as a flight medic, is truly inspiring. It's heroes like him who selflessly put others before themselves, and it's so tragic that his life ended the way it did. I hope his family, especially his kids, can find some peace and hold on to the many happy memories they shared with him. The positive impact Trey had on his community won't be forgotten, and my thoughts are with those affected by this senseless act. If anyone from Midland has more thoughts about Trey or how they’re honoring him, I’d love to hear about how you’re coping and keeping his memory alive.
I was thinking today about the tough job first responders like Trey have. It’s hard to wrap my mind around the bravery it takes to run toward danger when instinct tells most of us to run away. Trey’s commitment to his role as a firefighter paramedic shows the kind of person he was—selfless and dedicated to saving lives. I’ve read that many in Midland still deeply feel the loss of such a caring individual.
Does anyone know if there’s been any fundraising efforts for his family, especially the kids? I imagine life without their dad must be unimaginably difficult, and any support the community could give would make a real difference. Sending love and strength to his family and colleagues during this difficult time.
