I recently came across the case of Laron Johnson, and one aspect that really stood out to me is the community's fear and reluctance to come forward. It's incredibly tragic how these neighborhoods, where violence seems like an everyday occurrence, end up silencing those who might have the answers simply out of fear for their own safety. The distrust in law enforcement only compounds this issue, making it so hard for investigators to get the breakthroughs they need. I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating and heartbreaking it must be for Laron’s family. They deserve answers and justice for what happened to him. It's sad to think that fear of retaliation can hold so much power over a community that wants change. I hope that one day, we see a shift where trust can build bridges and people feel safe enough to speak out. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
