I've been following Candace Williams' case, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on her children. It's absolutely unbelievable what they went through that night. Her 7-year-old daughter showed such courage in a moment of chaos, and it's something no child should have to experience. And her little ones, being in the apartment while it all happened, are just so young. I hope that they are surrounded by love and support from their family and community as they cope with this unimaginable loss. It's just so important that we continue to raise awareness about domestic violence to prevent situations like this from happening to others. Candace's mother has been incredibly strong, starting the "Candace Way Out" foundation, and I hope it helps open doors for people who might feel trapped in similar circumstances. Let's keep these kids in our thoughts and do what we can to support efforts that aim to prevent domestic violence.
