I've been thinking a lot about the candle vigil held for Fabiola Mata Reyes. It’s something that really struck a chord with me. Such a beautiful way to honor her memory and for the community to come together to reflect on her life. Those 26 candles represented each year of her life—a life that was filled with love and warmth for her family and friends. It's heartwarming to see how the community has continued to support her children, but at the same time, it's gut-wrenching to think about what they've been through. I can’t imagine the depth of their loss. I hope they always find comfort in knowing how much their mother was loved and cherished by those around her. Does anyone know if the family plans to hold this event annually, or if there are ongoing efforts in the community to remember her? It would be so comforting to see Fabiola's legacy continuing to bring people together and inspire change.
