I was just thinking about how heart-wrenching it must be for Alfredo Giddens Jr.'s family every single day. I just learned that Alfredo, affectionately known as "Big Fredo" around the community, was someone everyone seemed to love. I mean, owning a mechanic shop like he did, you become more than just a mechanic to people – you become family to them. I can only imagine the deep hole his absence has left. It’s really frustrating to know that even though witnesses saw two women fleeing the scene, they have never been identified or brought to justice. How is it possible that no one has come forward with anything new? One would hope that those who knew these women or saw something more would finally feel compelled to speak up. Perhaps they were too scared at the time, but with the years that have passed, maybe someone will find the courage. The ongoing pain his father, Giddens Sr., experiences is unimaginable. Visiting his son’s grave, hoping for some solace or answers, is a testament to the enduring love he has for Alfredo. It's not fair that families have to live with this constant uncertainty and lack of resolution. I truly hope that anyone with even the smallest bit of information will find it in their heart to help bring closure to this grieving family. They deserve justice, and Alfredo deserves to be remembered not just as a victim, but as a loving son, a valued community member, and "Big Fredo," who brightened everyone's day.
