Does anyone else find it incredibly disturbing how these tragic incidents often happen after clear signs of escalating danger? In Patricia's case, she was literally on the phone with emergency services trying to get help, and it still ended in such a tragic way. It really makes you think about how we handle domestic violence calls. Shouldn't there be some sort of immediate escalated response procedure when someone is in such evident danger? My heart really goes out to Patricia's family and friends, who are left to grapple with the loss and the terrible circumstances surrounding it. We need to do better as a society to protect those in vulnerable situations.
