Has anyone looked into the possibility that Brian Caldwell might have made contact with anyone between Springfield and San Francisco? If he did take the bus, there could be witnesses who saw him during the journey or he might have mentioned his plans to fellow passengers. Sometimes people chat during long bus rides, and someone might remember him—especially with those distinctive tattoos. There wouldn't happen to be any security footage from Greyhound stations he might have stopped at, would there? Anything, however small, might help shed some light on his movements during that time.
