Does anyone else find it strange that there’s not much public info about why Roderick Richards targeted Jean and his brother? I keep thinking back to the statements from witnesses at the complex who said there was an altercation right before the shooting. Was there a personal dispute, or something we just don't know about yet? I've also heard rumors mentioning possible gang involvement, but nothing seems confirmed. Has anyone else from the area heard anything more? It's just so difficult to imagine how something could escalate to such a devastating loss for the Makidissi family. My heart really goes out to them during all of this. It's crucial we gather more facts to piece together what happened that night. Thoughts? Any new developments or local insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've been thinking about the resilience of the Makidissi family during this entire ordeal—what an unimaginable tragedy to lose two brothers in such a violent way. It's clear that their fight for justice was nothing short of a marathon. I can't help but admire how they managed to stay composed and involved throughout the legal proceedings, which dragged on for years. Does anyone know if the family has engaged in advocacy or community work since the trial? Often, families who endure such losses turn their grief into action, and it would be heartening to see if they’ve initiated or joined efforts to address violence and support other victims' families. It's a powerful way to honor Jean and Gilbert's memories. ?
