I can’t stop thinking about how tragic Danny Diesel's death is for his loved ones. I never met him, but from everything I've heard, he was a committed and generous person who really cared about his community. It's awful how everything escalated that day.
The part that gets to me is the reports about police gunfire being responsible for some of the fatalities, including Danny’s. It makes me wonder about the protocols for these situations – were things handled the right way? With so many people involved, and emotions running high, mistakes can happen, but it doesn’t change the fact that families are left grieving.
