I can't get over how truly devastating this situation is. My heart goes out to Sheri’s children, who had to endure such an unimaginable trauma. They’re so young and to have witnessed something so horrendous is just beyond words. I’m glad they had other family members to step in and take care of them, but I hope they’re getting all the emotional support and counseling they need. Children are resilient, but something like this can have long-lasting effects.
It’s also made me think about how important it is for those in volatile relationships to have access to support and resources. I wonder if Sheri had anyone she could openly talk to or if there were signs that led up to this tragedy. It’s such a sad reminder of how crucial it is to have good support networks. If anyone has experience with helping kids who've been through trauma, I'd love to hear how we can best support Sheri's boys from afar.
