I'm still struggling to wrap my head around the security measures at The Haystack on that dreadful night. It seems Douglas Hearne was just an innocent bystander trying to help, and it makes me wonder if this tragedy could have been avoided with better protocols in place. Was there any follow-up investigation about the bar's security policies after this incident? It's unsettling to think about how quickly things escalated and how others inside might have been put at risk too. My heart goes out to Douglas's family and friends. It's such a senseless loss, and I hope lessons were learned to prevent future incidents at similar venues. Has anyone heard if there were any changes implemented at The Haystack afterward?
