I’ve been following the case of Lourdes Luna and Oneida Garza for a while now, and I’m continually struck by the strong connection they both had to the community. One detail that really stands out to me is the effort the Rio Grande City CISD made to honor their memory. The vigil and tree planting at their workplace was such a touching gesture and speaks volumes about how much they meant to everyone around them. It’s just so devastating to see two people who were evidently cherished in their community be taken away like this. I can only imagine the pain their families and friends continue to endure. The bench with their faces at the district administration building is a beautiful tribute. It serves as a constant reminder of the need for justice in this case. I really hope the increased reward will encourage someone to come forward with information. It’s hard to believe it’s been so long without answers. If anyone on here has any insights or theories, I’d love to discuss them further. I just hope that there’s a break in this case soon and that their loved ones can find some peace.
