I just came across the case of Brandon Heath Abeita, and I can't stop thinking about how his family must have felt throughout the trial. It's one thing to experience such a sudden and violent loss, but to then have to sit through the entire legal process must have been incredibly taxing. I imagine the courtroom was filled with Brandon's loved ones, who had to relive that terrible day over and over again. It’s important for us to remember that behind every headline, there are families like the Abeitas who are carrying on without their loved one. Sending strength and peace to them all.
