Has anyone else been following the responses from Rowlett High School? I've been reading about how Ruben Trinidad's classmates have been handling this tragedy, and it's just so impactful to see how much love and support has been pouring out. I can't even imagine losing a friend in such a sudden and violent way at that age. I keep thinking about the moment of silence they held and how students wore red to honor him. It seems like the school community is really coming together to support each other and Ruben's family during this incredibly difficult time. It's reassuring to see the compassion being shown, but at the same time, it's just such a sad reminder of how precious life is. Does anyone know if there are any ongoing support groups or memorial events being planned?

I can't stop thinking about the overwhelming pain Ruben's family must be enduring. As a parent myself, the idea of losing a child, especially under such tragic circumstances, is unimaginable. I hope they find some comfort in the outpouring of support from Ruben's friends and community. The gesture of wearing red was touching and a beautiful way to celebrate his life. It's beyond tragic that such a young life was cut short over something so senseless. My thoughts are with Ruben's loved ones, and I hope justice is served. If anyone in the community has insight into whether there are any outreach programs or initiatives in Ruben’s memory, please share. It'd be comforting to know something positive might arise from this tragedy.
