Hey everyone, I’ve been following the investigation into Eric Dieter Hill’s tragic death and something has been on my mind. With the announcement that Bryant Pacheco was no longer considered a person of interest after being questioned, I wonder how often this happens in other cases. It must be incredibly difficult for investigators to balance transparency with the need to protect sensitive details of the case. From what I've gathered, the Killeen PD along with other agencies have put a lot of resources into finding out what happened that day. But with the leads seemingly scarce, it must be so hard for Eric’s family to see someone named as a person of interest and then have that lead go cold. I can’t even begin to imagine their frustration and pain during this time. Do any of you have insights into how law enforcement manages these investigations, especially when it comes to person-of-interest designations? It just highlights how crucial community input can be, and I hope anyone with information will come forward to help bring some much-needed closure to those who loved Eric. Thanks for any thoughts or insights you might have. My heart goes out to Eric’s friends and family who are likely still searching for answers. Stay safe out there.
